About SEMA

Somalia Explosive Management Authority

The Somalia Explosive Management Authority (SEMA) is a national agency established in 2013 to lead efforts in addressing the dangers posed by landmines, explosive remnants of war (ERW), and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) across Somalia. SEMA plays a vital role in protecting civilian lives, restoring usable land, and supporting broader peacebuilding initiatives in the country.
