Thursday 9th December 2021, the Somali Explosive Management Authority held a quarterly coordination meeting in Mogadishu.
The objective of the meeting was:-
To share the outcome of the Somalia’s Article Five Extension request to the Mine Ban Convention’s 19th meeting of State Parties in Netherlands from 15th to 19th of November 2021.
To share information of mine action activities on going in the country for the past three months as well as sharing forward plan for the three months ahead.
Key stakeholders where participated in the meeting, namely:
- HALO Trust
- UNMAS Somalia
- SEMA
- Local NGO’s (Consortiums).
